The Pencil is the overworld version of the Wood Blade. As with all of Kris's weapons, the Wood Blade becomes a different item in the overworld. The Pencil grants 1 AT but cannot be used in battle or unequipped, leaving its info text only accessible with file manipulation.

Trivia

• It is implied that Kris chews their pencils, as attempting to equip the Wood Blade to Noelle prompts her to remark that it has 'bite marks.'
• In the original Chapter 1 demo of Deltarune, hacking to give Susie the Wood Blade prior to the battle with Dummy would prompt the text, "... You have a SWORD!?" As of the Chapter 1 & 2 demo, this text is inaccessible even with save editing due to a code typo.
