CHAOS, CHAOS!
I CAN DO ANYTHING!
THE WORLD REVOLVING is the 33rd track of the Deltarune Sound Track.
Music Theory[]
Key Information[]
THE WORLD REVOLVING is a song with a bpm (beats per minute) of 190, that is in G# major and B minor, and is entirely in 4/4, however, it remains largely unpredictable, which gives it the "CHAOS, CHAOS" feeling we often think of alongside Jevil.
Composition[]
THE WORLD REVOLVING is almost completely comprised of two motifs: it's own leitmoti(A.K.A the Freedom Leitmotif)f and the Don't Forget leitmotif. The first 20 seconds contains The Door leitmotif, however.
A side note must be made that several people(notably by watching Andrew Cunningham's Everything Interesting about Gaster's motif in Deltarune video essay) believe that THE WORLD REVOLVING contains the Gaster motif.
Lore Significance[]
The Freedom Motif has many meanings, each individually tailored to suit the character.
In our case, Jevil believes that he is the only one who is free, and the rest of the world is caged from him.
Although he is ecstatic to be free,he is forever lonely, (in his own words: I GROW TIRED OF MY LITTLE FREEDOM.) and hopes to 'free' everyone by letting someone (Kris) open the door to the cage.
Trivia[]
In the UNDERTALE 10th Anniversary Livestream, Toby Fox revealed that Heartache, Toriel's battle theme, was actually intended for Jevil's precursor, JOKER, in the version of DELTARUNE that was too ambitious for high-school Toby to make.
