Mr. Elegance Edit

Mr. Elegance is a Darkner and the first of two NPCs found on the Great Board in the room before the fight with King Round. Mr. Elegance resembles the Knight piece from chess, with a white horse's stylized head and neck, a spiky mane, a black studded collar, and two spots on his face which, he clarifies, are nostrils, not eyes, yet he can still see with them. He speaks with an American Western accent, dropping "g"s and using unusual contractions like "all'n," as well as calling Kris "horsie."

Mr. Elegance explains that although Ponmen are scary, they are only following King, reminiscing that the old boss of "us on the Board," back in peaceful times, has also been reduced to King's peon.

Mr. Elegance next appears beside the Door in the Forest. If the party has reached the door without talking to the Tutorial Masters, Mr. Elegance says that he and Mr. Society fixed the door by themselves and it might break because only the two of them worked on it. Though Mr. Society does not appear by the Forest door, the two are always together otherwise.

If the party defeats King without harming anyone, Mr. Elegance is among the NPCs celebrating at Card Castle. He congratulates the party, saying that now "all us pieces can live in peaces," and says his nostrils can't thank them enough.

Mr. Society Edit

Mr. Society, a Darkner, is the second of two NPCs found on the Great Board in the room before the fight with King Round. Resembling a stylized white Bishop piece from chess, Mr. Society touts his intelligence but notes his fear of King.

Mr. Society explains that though Ponmen are simple in nature, he and his friend Mr. Elegance have full control over their actions, as he claims to be far too intelligent to bow down to King, "unless he asks me. He's very scary, you see."

Mr. Society helped Mr. Elegance fix the Door in the Forest, but does not appear there.

If the party defeats King without harming anyone, Mr. Society congratulates them on defeating the tyrant and offers to accept congratulations for their own part in the coup, although they intend to deny participating if King reappears.
