The Dark Sanctuary is the first Dark World visited in Chapter 4. It is first created when the Roaring Knight opens a Dark Fountain in the church. Scattered throughout this world are floating stained glass pieces that depict the Legend of Delta Rune. Though these glass pieces can be shattered, they will eventually reform somewhere else in the world.
After sealing the Dark Sanctuary's fountain, Kris and Susie find themselves back in the lobby of the church, though the main chapel area is still consumed by darkness. Susie creates the 2nd Sanctuary, and within it, they find out the lock combination to the chapel doors, which is 2202. They seal the 2nd Sanctuary's fountain and enter the chapel, which is almost identical to the first Dark Sanctuary, save for some minor differences:
The Study fireplace contains a green flame which, when interacted with, can teleport the player to the entrance of the 3rd Sanctuary;
The Old Man, the Gueis, and Jackenstein no longer appear in the Study;
The Study doorway that originally led to the Dark Fountain now leads to a different room with a chest containing a Dog Dollar. After obtaining the Dog Dollar and exiting the room, it is no longer accessible and the Study door will be "sealed by a canine force";
The Golden Piano is no longer accessible;
Susie and Ralsei have different dialogue in a few specific rooms; and
