Rouxls Kaard

I have a theory that (if we do get a chapter dedicated to the Light World) there will be a combat system like in the Dark Worlds! Otherwise, why else would Kris have stats outside of them? What's more, we've got a lot of Lightners that seem to have some significance that don't seem to be in the position to become Dark World companions. Maybe they could be Party Members in the Light World instead!

Of course, I'm not sure how attacks would work considering how magic seemingly doesn't exist in the Light World, but as shown in K. Round, Rouxl Kaard, and Giga Queen's boss fights, not all enemy combat has to be magically tied.

Besides, Toby has to keep us from getting bored SOMEHOW

So as @Lil-pol4ri$ said yesterday, we got Spamton G. SpAMTon with @TheRogueStorm , @L0l0 1318 for Nubert, and me for Jevil. But then I thought on the bus to school today, "how funny would it be if we had Kris on here like what would happen". SO, I went to here, checked my notifications, and was like "wait how much funnier would it be if we had someone as Rouxls". And so, here's a list of people we should have!

TOP PRIORITY: Rouxls. I don't need to explain, it would be funny as hell if we had the most quotable Deltarune character, someone constantly talking crazy (and quite possibly talking shit about Spamton), and some dumbass goth on the wiki.

2nd: Queen. Also does not need to be explained.

Any others we should have?

One: Susie enjoy eating meaty foods the most (being a carnivore and all)

Two: Jevil and Susie actually get along really well for a few reasons.

• The Devilsknife is only equippable by Susie

• Both of them enjoy the use of violence

• Susie was the most eager to indulge in Jevil's "numbers game"

Three: Lancer's bike is actually part of his magic, and he can summon it at will no matter where he is.

Four: Rouxls Kaard lasted so much longer than Lancer in Queen's Dark World because he was an ever slightly better fit. Think of the code or program computers follow. That could also be interpreted as a set of rules. Of course, this wasn't enough to give him complete immunity to petrification, but enough for him to go galivanting on his own for a while.

Five: Susie is the only member of the Delta Warriors who has canonically gained love, even if you haven't defeated enemies through violence. Remember, when she went off on her own in the Field of Hopes and Dreams for a bit, she not only thrashed Lancer, but clobbered a bunch of Jigsawries too. Plus, there we a bunch of other enemies in the way, and I doubt Susie got passed them peacefully.

Six: There are actually more humans in the world of Deltarune. The reason we only see Kris though is because they live separately from Monsters. Not because they don't get along, just for reasons.

And thats all I wanna share. I might make separate posts for each of these and go more in depth on them soon. Maybe...

Seam at least seems to be aware that DR is a text-based game. His line -

"My name's Seam. It's pronounced 'Shawm'. And this is my little Seap."

This only makes sense as text. Saying this out loud would sound ridiculous. He's specifying the pronunciation of a word he's just said, then randomly says "Seap" and laughs as if he made a pun.

He's clearly aware that the dialogue is text and that he has to clarify things for the player.

RK does the same thing:

"The Rouxls (pronounced 'Rules') are simple"

Although the part in brackets might potentially not be part of his speech.

It sounds silly, but this is Toby we're talking about. He always takes great care to highlight who knows about meta elements, even if you had to know it. Such as how Susie avoids mentioning the 'C' dash button, and the narrator tells you instead.

Apparently, King fired all the puzzle guys and hired RK in their place. Why? Considering how useless at puzzles RK supposedly is, and how dictatorially strict King is.

In fact, he and Lancer are pretty much the only member of staff King has left after firing or imprisoning everyone else. What's the deal?

I've thought there were a few suspicious things about him, like the fact he uses a "Control Crowne" in a game where control and puppets seem to be a major theme, as well as the hints that he has connections with Jevil. Could he have manipulated King to hire him above everyone else?

The main 7 are Kris, Ralsei, Susie, Lancer, Starwalker, Berdly, and Noelle. The other three I am not sure about is Candy. It has a “Candy Joined the Party” cutscene, but it’s a item not a character. Also, would Rouxls Kaard be one in your inventory? What about Queen? You do have a truce with her.

• Both Rouxls and Spamton refer to Kris and the gang as worms. One character doing that is a goofy character trait, two is a key detail.

• Rouxls falls out your inventory at the beginning of chapter 2, right? Well Lancer only lasts a few minutes before completely turning to stone, while Rouxls lasts until the end of the Thrash Machine fight (Outside of snowgrave) but he still has his head unfrozen. He could be way stronger than we give him credit for.

• Ice-E is randomly brought up a lot. You got Noelle's pillow, the Giasfclfebrehber puzzle, an entire pizzaria. You even have the nightmare fun value event in undertale, and at that point, I have to ask: what is Toby's obsession with that ice cube?

Does anyone find it sus that RK uses a device called a "CONTROL crowne" (that he says is very painful, I might add) in a game where control seems to be a major theme?

(Queen also CONTROLS Berdly specifically with WIRES similar to a certain other character, but I feel that's more obvious and I already mentioned it a while ago, so I'll stick to Rouxls.)

The other suspicious thing is the fact that it's a CROWN and he's using it in a castle very close to where a KING is acting supposedly much more aggressively than he used to.

So, kings wear crowns. RK owns a Control Crowne. A King recently became extremely evil in the same castle where RK has a control crown. King fired everyone and replaced them with RK even though he's clearly useless at puzzles and King is obviously very strict on quality.

Hmm...

Who is/are your favorite Deltarune character(s)? My #1 favorite is Spamton and Rouxls, Lancer and Queen are my other favorites.

Inverted Normal

The inverted color looks somewhat similar to a human

this might just be me but I would love to see Rouxls animated over Matt Rose, probably never going to happen but his voice just reminds me of Rouxls

When talking about Lancer in Rouxls' shop, he says he doesn't want to listen to Lancer's MP3s and he'd rather listen to "the sweete songe of death" (or something like that),

What could better be called the "song of death" in the context of Deltarune Ch1 than the song "Darkness Falls" where your party dies and you give up? (Also Faint Courage, but that only starts in Ch2).

(... Or "Imminent Death" now that I think about it. Yeah, actually he's probably heard "Imminent Death" instead.)

This is just a joke, but when you think about it. songs DO apparently have significance in-game. Like how apparently Onion heard meaningful songs.

This is the hardest boss so far.

So, there are a few things about Jevil I don't really see people mention, including his line, "THIS BODY CANNOT BE KILLED," but there's also Jevil's prison.

You're unable to explore this prison, only taking a fixed place throughout the cutscene and the battle. Once you win, the prison becomes inaccessible and the door disappears.

What if the door is like the teleport/Sans doors? Those were able to appear from nowhere, even when they weren’t being worked on. So they could easily disappear too (or possibly the transition to the "Man behind the Tree" rooms). The door clearly isn’t a normal door, because you don’t unlock it normally. You hold the key in front of it and it creates a mini-door inside the original. Maybe the mini-door leads teleports you to Jevil’s prison and the big door would just take you to a physical space.

Note: in both chapters, you’re never allowed to travel more than a few steps east of the Fountain, almost as if the world ends there. This corresponds to where Jevil’s prison would be, slightly east of the Fountain.

What if Jevil’s prison is actually an expansive void past the revolving platform, and you’re ‘teleported’ to it? Jevil’s claims about being the “ONLY FREE ONE” might not be as deluded as it seems. He’s ‘out of bounds.’ He’s in a Void similar to the one in the UT fandom. Obviously, his line “I CAN DO ANYTHING!” represents his role as a wild card joker, but it could have a hidden meaning. If he was free in this void with no consequences, he could be somewhat of an Ink!Sans-like character, able to do what he likes, as shown to him by the ‘Strange someone’ (which might be Seam himself).

He's also aware his whole world is just a game, as someone might see from an ‘out of bounds’ perspective.

One more thing to mention is how Rouxls relates to him and how he might be more evidence Jevil’s prison is a void (everyone seems to be talking about him right now anyway).

I think RK is just supposed to be a joke, but for theory purposes, he actually has two links to Jevil.

1. One of his hobbies is “Longe walks in the dungeon.” It’s a random line which isn’t really funny, yet is isolated, and RK winks when he says it. That wouldn’t be much on its own, but how can you have long walks in such a tiny dungeon? Either he just goes round and round in circles in the place where the animals and the three former kings were kept OR he visits Jevil’s prison, and has ‘long walks’ in the void beyond.

2. When Lancer talks about ‘Lesser Dad’ in Queen’s mansion while solving the puzzle, and calls him a ‘Puzzle pagliaccio.” (I think that’s how it was spelt). He specifies this, with a sad face, that he’s “more like a sad clown”. Granted, Lancer calls lots of people ‘clowns’, even ‘CLOWNS around TOWN,’ but again, it’s a very odd line which no-one (I’ve seen) can see the joke in.

I’m not really too certain of this theory, but there are a few pieces of evidence for it, and there’s one more thing to note.

Who is it that locks Jevil in this possibly otherworldly prison?
