I have a theory that (if we do get a chapter dedicated to the Light World) there will be a combat system like in the Dark Worlds! Otherwise, why else would Kris have stats outside of them? What's more, we've got a lot of Lightners that seem to have some significance that don't seem to be in the position to become Dark World companions. Maybe they could be Party Members in the Light World instead!

Of course, I'm not sure how attacks would work considering how magic seemingly doesn't exist in the Light World, but as shown in K. Round, Rouxl Kaard, and Giga Queen's boss fights, not all enemy combat has to be magically tied.

Besides, Toby has to keep us from getting bored SOMEHOW

What do you guys think? If you disagree, I completely understand! This is a pretty farfetch'd theory.

King calls the Lighters “Lightbringer.” While most people just considered this a cool-sounding way of saying “Lightner,” something another character says makes me question that:

“YOU'RE LIGHT neR< AREN'T YOU?

YOU'VE GOT THE [[LIGHT.]]

WHY DON'T YOU

[[Show it off?]]”

“You’ve got the Light.” What exactly is the Light? Is it DETERMINATION?? We already know that Spamton wants our SOUL, so maybe he’s referring to that. And, there’s one last mention of this Light:

“There a light inside your soul, that’s still shining in the cold,”

The lyrics from “Don’t Forget” also mention a Light in connection with a SOUL. Is this Light what makes Lightners different from Darkners?

“Is This Not Something All Lightners Posses?

If One Were Simply, DETERMINED Enough,

Could Not Anyone Open A Dark Fountain?”

(I know the quote’s not exact but best I could do *shrug*)

I think that this Light might possibly be DETERMINATION, but I’m interested in what everyone else thinks.

Do you think that darkners are really supposed to serve lightners? It seems a bit suspicious to me. There's definitely a connection between the two, but subservience seems a tad... hmm.

Fix Susie sprites because she's taller in the Overworld. Just look on Susie wiki and switch between Overworld and Dark world. Edit: check it yourself on the wiki because i cant add the video

According to the article "DELTARUNE CHAPTER 1 OST", Kris can bring the darnkers (cards, toys, etc.) from the unused classroom to Castle Town. I just think that Kris and Susie's sizes shrink when they enter the Dark World.

Are monster souls the same as human souls in Deltarune? The page says human and monster Lightners have a soul, but doesn't specifically describe what soul they have, is it a white upside down soul, or is it a red right-side up soul?

Think about it. He knows about the classroom and the toys, and he was able to get from the town, to the Cyber World from the exact way that we came. We would've seen him if we got there after him, so he got there after us and got to Cyber World via the fountain in the computer lab.

1.) ralsei is asriel

honestly dont really believe this one. first off, its known that asriel is currently at university. it would be pretty hard to fake going to uni lol. also if it was accidental that he went to the dark world, he would leave, right? its not like he had a bad life or anything, why would he want to leave his family and stay in the dark world where things obviously arent going great.

second, wouldnt kris recognize him? hes literally their brother. susie, noelle, and berdly wouldve recognized him too.

third, WHY WOULD IT BE HINTED AT THAT RALSEI HAS A CRUSH ON YOU IF HE WAS KRIS’ BROTHER?? ralsei would recognize kris if he was asriel and know they are his sibling.

im gonna safely debunk this theory for now.

2.) ralsei isnt asriel but is a lightner

this one i mostly believe in. why is it that ralsei doesnt turn to stone like the rest of the darkners when they arrive in a new dark world? how did he get to cyber world in the first place? i mean card kingdom and cyber world arent connected in any way besides their entrances being in the same town in the overworld. either hes a lightener or were missing some plot details thatll be revealed later

my personal favorite and the one i believe in most. get ready folks this ones gonna be long

this theory isnt as well known as the others, so ill try to be simple with my explanation. talking to toriel postgame in chapter 1 reveals that kris owned a red headband with horns on it, and that kris lost it one day and theyd never seen it again.

sound familiar? heres where the theory part comes in. somehow, someway, that red headband ended up in the dark world and turned into ralsei. assuming ralsei is the same species as the dreemurrs, hes the only one with reddish horns, so it cant be a species thing (unless they are different species, which is unlikely. theyre both goats) and why was it so suddenly lost? toriels house is not very large, and her and kris seem to keep the place clean, surely if it meant that much to kris they wouldve found it already.

one thing that may potentially debunk this theory is items you take with you to the dark world stay items. kris’ pencil turns into a wooden sword with a carbon (graphite) center. HOWEVER, darkners turn into items when taken OUT of the dark world, so perhaps ralsei is the headband, but he isnt a lightener. makes you think………..
